WHY WE LOST

Those of us who believe in hard work and a life of reward for one's own efforts have definitely lost the battle. Regardless of Chavez's demise and the Cuban regime's short future, life seems to have given a nod to the so-called entitlement mentality. And the funny thing is that this is nobody's fault; some of us blame the rich, others blame the right and others the left; however; history shows that every political system harbors within itself the very germs of its destruction. The capitalist system, the market economy or whatever we may call it is based in a fierce competition in which three out of ten make it big; still some four or five out of those ten somehow manage to barely make it, while two to three do not make it at all; if 20% of the developed world have never made it and you add the millions of poor people in the Third World we end up with a surprisingly huge number.

Sooner or later the failed ones become more than the successful and hard work is wiped out  of our vocabulary to leave room for phrases like helping one another; doing our fair share, whatever that may mean, and other populist themes; for those relying on government hand outs left wing dictatorship are the wave of the future and they are growing in number by the day. It;s not a matter of if, but when they will take full control of the world and impose a new world "disorder". We may be as well witnessing the very dismembering of the dream we've chased all our lives.
