Iran's jet fighters fire on a US drone presumably on international airspace and we get to know about it nine days later. The director of the CIA resigns surprisingly due to an alleged extramarital affair with his own biographer and, coincidentally, a few days before he was scheduled to testify in Capitol Hill about the Benghazi debacle. For those of us who have followed American politics for years this is some sort of deja-vu. It is hard to believe all this unfolded in just a few hours.
Despite Obama's re-election these situations have a way of not going away; with what we already know, the main stream media complicity notwithstanding, I have the impression that this mess is a serious liability for the administration and its outcome will depend on whether it becomes a Watergate or an Iran-Contra. Time will tell
