RACE SEEMS TO BE THICKER THAN WATER

I just saw the last ad the Obama camp launched using no less than General Powell as a surrogate. The former Head of the Joint Chiefs goes on to praise the incumbent and reiterate the message that claims Barrack Obama saved this nation from a total collapse.

I personally believe each one of us is free to support and root for who we so choose; I even gave the General the benefit of the doubt in 2008, but after 4 years of policies that remain light years away from the Republican ideology I'm left with only two possible options: Mr. Powell is more loyal to race than he is to his own party, or, even worse, he's not a Republican and probably never was in the first place. He simply opted to go right due to a greater availability of relevant positions and the voracity Republicans seem to have for outstanding black personalities in order to wash away their racist stigma. Democrats did not show signs of giving him the job of top diplomat and I believe he and president Clinton could not see eye to eye on several issues. We can go on and on with speculation, but one thing is certain: the spendthrift in chief is the farthest choice from the Republican approach to economics
