'Let's face it. for all the weaknesses and the radical past of the president and his friends and associates the truth is he took power under an overwhelming economic crisis he had not created. Conservatives and independents (myself included among the latter) were extremely lenient on former president Bush 43 and did not show the same intensity we now use to judge Mr. Obama's performance. Had we all been more critical then, we most likely would be in better shape now. Having said that, I can't but remember now and again that when we joyously applauded the president's stimulus package the talk of the town was that was IT. That was the "miracle"we needed to get back on our feet; don't pay any attention to those white racist fat cats in the Republican Party that care more about their stashed coded accounts in the Cayman Islands than they do about the common folks; yeah, now the Democratic Party, the party of slavery, the party of finance and blue blooded millionaires is the party of the common folks. Not that the Republicans are very close to us average Joes anyway, but it's funny to see how history can be redone and outsourced in luxurious living rooms and private clubs.
Now the entertainer in chief wants us to write yet another check; that was not it, sorry, well the stimulus worked, sure it did, but you now what? we need more money just to make sure. So while we the people reach deep into our pockets and bank accounts, and the Fed prints money as if it were monopoly currency; the two parties keep blaming one another for our economic woes, the African American community is worse off than they were when the first black president won the 2008 election and nobody seems to have to guts to ask what the in the name of God is going on. Call me paranoid, but I remember more than 40 years ago we had a leader in the island I was born whom we trusted as blindly as we seem to trust Obama today; no problem was his fault but someone else's and if there was corruption and low morale it was simply because he did not know; once he finds out you'll see, everything will be solved. Wake the f up America. The White House policies are not working; probably the opposition's plan, if they have any, won''t work either; so it's about time we demand a little accountability
