Does anybody remember laughter? this is Robert Plant's improntum lyric wedge in one of Stairway to Heaven's live versions: "And a new day will dawn, for those who stand lone, and the forest will echo with laughter..." it is the first thing that comes to my mind when I compare the fanfare and triumphalism then with the gloom and furtiveness now. Not one word in the president's latest appearances to mark the second anniversary of Obama Care's push down our throats. If it is such a big "fucking" deal (I'm not being rude, just quoting our VP), how come nobody talks about it?
The sad truth is that all Mr Obama needed was a few milestone laws to create his legacy and go down in history as a first in many areas: first black president, first president to pass a universal health care law, first president to hold out his hand to the Iranians, and so on; whether the law is later challenged, as it has been, by many states, whether waivers need to be issued, especially to Mrs Pelosi's acolites in the business sector; whether the cost of health care skyrockets are none of his business. The bill won't bring any improvement and probably will never be effective as we "sort of" read it (nobody's read the thousands of pages this bill consists of). This is the ugly picture on that side of the law.
On the opposite side, we have what could be called a diva contest; four guys giving one another hell and each claiming that he and only he can save us from the threat of communism. What nobody wants to address is how we can improve our healthcare system; boy does it need mending!!!!The republicans have yet to come up with an alternative to Obama Care; yes the bill is impractical, but something has to be done so that millions of people without insurance (including yours truly) don't have to panic every time they feel a little pain here or there. Both parties have failed us miserably, and all they can say is that people know better, but do we?

I agree with you in most of the article...the divas like you said is a similar situation to the one between Hillary and Obama back in 2008...they were claiming the head of each other...and now working kind of together...Romney has a plan...with similarities to the one of Obama...but with much less influence from the government...those with no insurance will be able to purchase a plan from the government at a lower rate...but i think the first thing to do is to fix what it is already in place...he has mentioned that too...just eliminating the fraud will be a big step...but as now...even Ron Paul is better than what we have...do not be surprise to see Ron's Paul son side by side with Romney in a key position...mark my words
